AmiciMusic, founded in 2011 in Asheville, NC,
is dedicated to performing the highest
quality chamber music in intimate venues and non-traditional spaces on a monthly basis in both Asheville and Baltimore. We
are committed to breaking down barriers between performers and
audiences by setting up a more relaxed, informal, and welcoming atmosphere at
concerts and through informative talks about the composer's life before each piece is played.
Daniel Weiser, piano,
founder and Artistic Director of AmiciMusic. He has been described as
"truly a master Impresario" and "a force of pianistic energy" who can
"absolutely smoke the 88 keys." He has performed in
fifteen countries around the world, including Egypt, Thailand, Sri
Lanka, and Syria. He has a Doctorate in Piano/Chamber Music from the
Conservatory where he worked with Samuel Sanders and he has taught music at Dartmouth College, UNCA, and Johns Hopkins
University. He also attended Harvard Law School at the same time as
former President Obama.

Elizabeth Borowsky and Daniel Weiser take a thrilling four-hand piano
journey to Paris at the turn of the 20th century in order to highlight
the important role of the music hall and cabaret culture. The influence
of American ragtime and jazz is also revealed, culminating in a
performance of a new arrangement of Gershwin's "American in Paris."
Great music by Faure, Chabrier, Satie, Poulenc, and Milhaud will also be
Elizabeth Borowsky enjoys a vibrant musical career
as soloist and collaborative pianist, composer, educator, speaker, and
recording artist. She has been a
featured performer at distinguished venues including Carnegie Hall and
The Kennedy Center, and has performed in over thirty countries. Borowsky has
also earned a reputation as a dedicated instructor, presenting masterclasses in the USA, Lithuania, Germany,
Cuba, Japan, Poland, and Germany. She has been a member of the piano
faculty of the International Music Institute and Festival USA since 2003
and was appointed Executive Director in 2010. She is founder and
director of Piano Prodigies LLC, a holistic approach to private piano
instruction that uniquely balances the technical, artistic, and personal
development of each student. Elizabeth Borowsky is a registered yoga
teacher and enjoys culinary improvisation, photography, and traveling

Take a musical trip to Vienna in the 18th and 19th centuries with some great scenes from opera and operetta. Asheville favorites Amanda Horton and Jonathan Ross will reprise some of their signature roles from Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro," "Don Giovanni," and "The Magic Flute" as well as fun scenes from Lehar's "The Merry Widow" and Strauss' "Die Fledermaus." Don't miss this most elegant evening of Viennese classics!
