“BROADWAY VIOLIN, Part II”
Great Broadway Songs Arranged for Violin and Piano

Songs from the Golden Age:
Berlin, Kern, Porter, Gershwin & more

January 2, 2022

We start the New Year off with a sequel to one of our favorite concerts of 2021.  In this program with all new Broadway songs, Tim Schwarz, violin, and Daniel Weiser, piano/Artistic Director will perform some fantastic arrangements of great Broadway songs from the Golden Years (1920s-1940s).   Tap your feet and hum along to music by Irving Berlin (“Cheek to Cheek,” “Blue Skies”);  Jerome Kern (“All the Things You Are”, “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes”);  Cole Porter (“Begin the Beguine,” “Just One of those Things”);  and George Gershwin (“Love is Here to Stay,” “S’Wonderful”).   Take a wonderful trip down memory lane to a time when the great songwriters ruled Broadway!

Check out this video of Richard Rodgers’ song, “You’ll Never Walk Alone” from Carousel with Tim and Dan performing on a previous concert:
