Lyrical Works for Cello and Piano

We hope you can join us for this concert featuring a fantastic cellist and good friend from Philadelphia, Amy Barston, (http://amybarston.com/) who will be making her Savannah debut with AmiciMusic.  Amy appeared as a soloist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at the age of 17 and has been performing in halls around the world ever since as both a soloist and chamber musician.  She has been praised by the New York Times as “passionate and elegant” and also is an extremely devoted teacher with numerous students around the world.  This program features a sadly neglected masterpiece by the Croatian female composer Dora Pejacevic from the early 20th century.  We will also perform Beethoven’s Variations on a Theme by Mozart plus short Romantic works by Amy Beach, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Armenian composer Alexander Artunian.
