“LATIN CELLO, Part 2”
Another program of works for cello and piano by Latin-American composers

Works by Guastavino, Florencia, Vicente, and more

November 3-6, 2022

Cellist Diego Carneiro from Ecuador returns for another thrilling program of works for cello and piano by some lesser known Latin-American composers.  Maestro Carneiro brings a wealth of music from countries like Guatemala,  Bolivia, Ecuador, and Venezuela that are rarely performed in the United States.  Carneiro has performed around the world and has been named as a Minister of Tourism for Ecuador for his efforts to bring that country’s music to the world.  He is also the founder of a Youth Orchestra there that brings in Venezuelan refugees to perform and often goes into refugee camps to play and bring hope through music.  You won’t want to miss these exciting concerts!

We are also excited to continue our wonderful collaboration with the Peabody Prep Dept and to introduce some of their incredible young students on our concerts.  At each AmiciMusic concert in the Baltimore area, one youngster will play a short piece to showcase the fantastic young talent in this city.  For this program, we will have Zoe Lilly (13 year old cellist) on November 3, Alexander Yang (12 year old cellist) on November 4 and Rebekah Geller (18 year old violinist) on November 5.  Join us at either of the threew different venues below
