“LYRICAL LADIES”
Works for Viola & Piano by Women Composers

Pieces by LeBeau, Pejacevic, Dekruck, and Clarke

October 20-27 2022

Join us for this wonderful program of works for viola and piano by women composers, including Luisa LeBeau, Dora Pejacevic, Fernande Decruck, and Rebecca Clarke.   Most of these women have been sadly neglected despite their lyrical and powerful music as male composers and musicians have left them out of the mainstream repertoire.  Violist Anna Pelczer comes to us from Germany, where she is in high demand as a principal violist in various free-lance orchestras, to perform with pianist/Artistic Director Daniel Weiser.  You will be blown away by her huge sound and emotional playing.

We are also excited to continue our wonderful collaboration with the Peabody Prep Dept and to introduce some of their incredible young students on our concerts.  At each AmiciMusic concert in the Baltimore area, one youngster will play a short piece to showcase the fantastic young talent in this city.  For this program, we will have Katherine Yang (11 year old violinist) on October 20 and Vienne Longway (12 year old violinist) on October 27.  Join us at either of the two different venues below
