AmiciMusic is a chamber music organization based in Asheville, NC and Baltimore, MD, dedicated to performing the highest quality chamber music in intimate venues and non-traditional spaces. We are committed to breaking down barriers between performers and audiences by setting up a more relaxed and informal atmosphere at concerts and through informative talks about each composer’s life before each piece is played.

Listen to our newest AmiciMusic PODCAST about this OPUS ONE program:
AmiciMusic welcomes in the New Year with a thrilling program called “OPUS ONE” featuring wonderful piano quartets that were the first published works of Mendelssohn and Suk. These incredible compositions, though written by teen-agers, reveal a virtuosic electricity and deep emotional power that are remarkable. We will also perform a folk-influenced movement by Suk’s mentor and later father-in-law, Antonin Dvorak. Our featured performers are the fantastic sibling team of Emmanuel Borowsky, violin, and Frances Borowsky, cello as well as violist Anna Pelczer, who currently lives and free-lances in Germany. Artistic Director Daniel Weiser will play the piano and share some fun anecdotes and stories about all the composers on the program.
Watch below a recent performance by Weiser and the Borowskys of Dvorak’s “Dumky” Piano Trio:
