AmiciMusic is a chamber music organization based in Asheville, NC and Baltimore, MD, dedicated to performing the highest quality chamber music in intimate venues and non-traditional spaces. We are committed to breaking down barriers between performers and audiences by setting up a more relaxed and informal atmosphere at concerts and through informative talks about each composer’s life before each piece is played.

May 23, 2019
Listen to the new Podcast by Muphen Whitney about this fantastic program:
AmiciMusic presents an encore performance of a truly fantastic concert we played back in 2017. You will not want to miss this incredibly exciting program highlighting the important influence of folk music on classical composers from around the world. Violinist Emmanuel Borowsky, cellist Frances Borowsky, and pianist Daniel Weiser will play the fantastic “Dumky” Trio by Antonin Dvorak, based on the music from his native Czechoslovakia along with the tango-inspired music of Astor Piazzolla, and the virtuosic “Cafe Music” by Paul Schoenfield, influenced by ragtime and dixie styles. This is music that will make you want to get up and dance!
Check out this video of Schoenfield’s “Cafe Music” from a House Concert in Asheville, NC:
The second program in our new “MUSIC & MEANING” concert series at Baltimore Hebrew Congregation. Join us for this FREE concert (donations gratefully accepted to go towards the Concert Series) in the lovely Dalsheimer Auditorium at BHC. Please spread the word about this great new series that will explore the larger meaning of the works that are played and seek thematic connections that reveal the incredible power of the musical soul and spirit.
