“THE FOLK SPIRIT”
Great piano trios exploring the connections between folk and classical music

Exciting works by Dvorak, Piazzolla, and Schoenfield

November 11, 2017

AmiciMusic presents an encore performance of a truly fantastic concert we recently played at my home at 208 Northway in Baltimore.   You will not want to miss this incredibly exciting program highlighting the important influence of folk music on classical composers from around the world.  Violinist Emmanuel Borowsky, cellist Frances Borowsky, and pianist Daniel Weiser will play the fantastic “Dumky” Trio by Antonin Dvorak, based on the music from his native Czechoslovakia along with the tango-inspired music of Astor Piazzolla, and the virtuosic “Cafe Music” by Paul Schoenfield, influenced by ragtime and dixie styles.   This is music that will make you want to get up and dance!
