We are thrilled to finally perform a concert at Givens Estates Retirement Community, where so many of our AmiciMusic friends reside.  We hope this will be the first of many in that venue.  Our first program is in memory of Manuel Medeiros, who was a true friend of AmiciMusic from almost the beginning of our existence in 2011.  Manny and his dear wife, Karen Atkinson, came to numerous concerts in the early years before moving to Charlotte briefly, from where they still managed to come for a few concerts and tried to figure out a way to get AmiciMusic to perform in Charlotte.  Thankfully, they moved back to Asheville to reside at Givens in early 2023 and attended many more of our concerts until his passing.  His infectious smile and laugh and his genuine excitement for our concerts will always stick with me and I am so pleased to present our first concert at Givens in his honor.  Many thanks to Karen for helping make this all possible!
