Deborah Heller, Flute

Debby Heller recently retired from the Jacksonville Symphony. In addition to playing flute and piccolo, she appeared as a soloist with them, as well as the Savannah Symphony and the Coastal Symphony of Georgia, and has been a founding member of several chamber ensembles. She has been active in the National Flute Association and the Florida Flute Association as a competition winner, board member, committee chair, guest artist and featured soloist. Ms. Heller studied with Albert Tipton at Florida State University and with renowned British flutists Geoffrey Gilbert, Peter Lloyd and William Bennett. She has served on the faculties of the University of North Florida and the Florida Flute Workshop. Currently she resides in Macclenny, Florida with her husband, two horses and a standard poodle.
